Andrew Siciliano - Chairman
Andy has managed and traded proprietary global macro products for banks and dedicated funds for over 20 years. His experience spans U.S. and international fixed income, FX and commodity trading with both cash and option instruments. Andy began his career in 1983 at O’Connor & Associates (“O’Connor”) where he built that firm’s securities risk systems. Between 1991-1997, he managed the SBC FX and treasury proprietary trading businesses. Between its inception in 1993 and August 1997 he managed the SBC Currency Portfolio which peaked at over $2B in assets. From 1991-1998, Andy also served as the Global Head of Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Treasuries Department, where he was responsible for building a leading FX and Fixed Income business. Following the SBC-UBS AG merger, he served as a member of the UBS Group Executive Board. From 1998-2002, Andy served as CEO of Webmind, a firm specializing in artificial intelligence and predictive analytics tools incorporating both textual and numeric data, revolutionary search and data mining techniques. In 2002, he co-founded Elysium Capital Group, a proprietary trading and hedge fund advisory firm. Andy holds a B.S. in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Mark Rosenfeld - Chief Technology Officer
As the CTO of ETG, Mark principally oversees the development and implementation of all new technology. He is ETG’s visionary technology leader and provides strategic direction to move ETG software and products beyond the competition. Mark was one of the original members forming ETG. Mark and Lo Shih (Head of Application Development) built the original risk management and trading execution systems from the bottom up that powered Elysium Capital Group and became the foundation of ETG’s post trade software solutions. Mark currently resides in the south suburbs of Chicago with his wife and two boys. When he is not playing classic rock on his guitar he is actively involved in coaching his boys’ basketball teams. Previously, Mark was CIO at The Helios Group, an international options market making trading firm, and the Senior Developer reporting to the global head of Commodity Derivatives business at UBS. Mark began his career as a database administrator at O’Connor and Associates, which was eventually bought by UBS.
Roque Castro - Head of Sales and Business Development
Roque leads and negotiates global sales, evaluates new product development and is a key influencer on setting company strategic goals. New clients interface directly with Roque to understand ETG’s core capabilities and numerous FX solutions. An experienced FX veteran, Roque is responsible for grasping each client’s individual viewpoint and turning it into an improved user experience. His strength is helping to conceive and bring to market ETG’s next generation of product development.
Roque lives in Culpeper, VA with his wife and four children. He earned his Series 7 and 63 certification licenses and is actively involved in several Foreign Exchange industry working groups and the local Chamber of Commerce in his hometown. During his leisure time he volunteers with local philanthropic organizations and is an avid bicyclist, motorcyclist, gear-head and aspiring furniture designer. Prior to joining ETG Castro was a Vice President of FX Sales at Goldman Sachs, Director of FX Prime Brokerage Sales at UBS Investment Bank, and Associate Director, GSD Trading Support at UBS O’Connor. Roque earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Tech.
Kenneth Lo Shih - Vice President of Enterprise Software
Lo, an experienced software engineer, leads the design and development of ETG software applications and services. He believes in lightweight development and continuous system evolution which means ETG systems are always on the leading edge of new capabilities as well as make the most impact to clients. His approach is cross-disciplinary combining an understanding of business and strategy with the ability to architect and design all components from low-level data formats, protocols and algorithms to graphic and interaction design, to user workflow. Lo built ETG’s proprietary FX bank and ECN execution, GridIron. He also built ETG’s proprietary post-trade system, Trade Tracker and ETG’s next generation application for trade flow management, Mission Control. His previous positions include Principal Consultant at ToolsLab LLC, Senior Software Engineer at Apollo Derivatives Group, and Associate Network Engineer at Advanced Network and Services. Lo studied Computer Science Engineering at the University of Michigan.
Chris O’Connor - Head of Support
Chris provides ETG with essential tools that facilitate pinpointing and resolving any system issues that may arise. He specializes in the development and support of IT services and is proficient at database design, database administration, server side scripting, and general programming. He is responsible for assessing the scalability and operational costs associated with additional workflows introduced from new clients, added features, and expansion of existing client business. Chris works directly with ETG clients to address their concerns and thoroughly respond to inquiries in a timely manner. Chris competes in 16” softball and enjoys the outdoors especially camping, canoeing, and snowboarding. Chris earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems with a concentration in Finance from the University of Iowa.
Peter Byrnes - Vice President, Networks and Infrastructure
Peter is responsible for all operations and maintenance associated with ETG’s complex networks and servers. His strengths lie in his vast experience and his flexible thinking approach that focuses on finding the most reliable solution even if it is an unconventional one for the industry. During his tenure, Peter led a full scale infrastructure conversion to a more robust model that was scalable and could better accommodate ETG’s clients. He also created and implemented ETG’s new PB flat file reporting system. Peter is married with two children. Prior to joining ETG, Peter was the VP of Infrastructure at ifbyphone where he designed the server and telco structure. He was the Director of AMS Architecture and Design at Edison Schools, Chief Starship Engineer at Edventions and was promoted to CTO of Anteros Capital Markets after holding the Director of Systems Administration position. Peter earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and his Masters degree from the University of Virginia.
John DiGregorio - Head of Account Management
John DiGregorio is responsible for client relationship management, onboarding, training, and product development. He is also involved in the sales and business development process. John’s specialty is client services and he has worked to solve complex problems for financial institutions ranging from small corporates to some of the largest asset managers in the world. Previously, John was Vice President at JP Morgan Chase managing relationships in market areas including FX, rates and traditional corporate banking products. He worked as an Associate at Societe Generale and as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs. John lives in New Providence, NJ with his wife and their dog. When he is not watching college basketball or routing for his favorite New England team, John adds to his collection of sports memorabilia and browses classic car shows. He earned his BBA in Finance and Economics from Villanova University.
Wes Dunlap - Integration Specialist
Wes is dedicated to addressing client inquiries and thoughtfully investigating internal and external system issues. His acute attention to detail is essential when researching the matter and implementing a resolution for each individual client need. Clients are fortunate to work with Wes because of his commitment as well as his outgoing nature.
Wes is an avid golfer and currently resides in Iowa City, Iowa. Prior to ETG, Wes worked in various technical support positions at Hy-Vee and the Stead Center at the Tippie College of Business. Wes earned his Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems and Finance from the University of Iowa.
Justin Martiniak - Developer
Justin comes to ETG with over 10 years of experience as a web developer, application developer and systems administrator. He has a keen eye for interface design and previously worked as a game designer and developer at Dealer HD. As a problem solver he has the ideal combination of persistence and patience to identify and address urgent system issues. He is an avid gamer and enjoys fishing, traveling, and sports. Justin earned his Bachelor of Science in Game Design and Development from Full Sail University.
Davis Walther - Special Projects / Onboarding Account Manager
Davis began as an intern in 2013 and started full time as the Onboarding Account Manager in 2014. He also spearheads company special projects on an ongoing basis. Reliable client services and responding quickly and accurately to client questions and requests is Davis’s strength. Davis’s hands on approach ensures that each new client is brought into the ETG system smoothly. He is an avid snowboarder in the winter and during the summer spends his time golfing, riding motorcycles, and playing badminton with his family. Davis earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Longwood University in Farmville, VA.
Kari Abrahamsen - Project Manager
Kari joined ETG in 2011 and is responsible for the daily revenue capture in the billing department. She is dedicated to her work and brings a “whatever it takes” attitude to every project. Kari brings over 10 years’ experience from the Chicago Board of Trade. Outside of ETG, Kari enjoys quality time with her husband and daughters especially playing softball, basketball and volleyball.
Dan Whitaker - Support Analyst
As a member of the ETG support desk, Dan is well versed in the capabilities of ETG’s software. He investigates client concerns and provides a thorough evaluation to get to the root cause and address it. A creative thinker, Dan is focused on efficient problem resolution. Outside of ETG he is a musician and in his free time composes music and performs with his band. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Northern Illinois University and also earned his Secondary Teaching Certificate from Northeastern Illinois University.
Aaron Rohrbaugh - Software Developer Intern
Aaron began in 2016 as part of Elysium’s newly created Software Developer Internship program. His responsibilities include special projects related to Elysium’s Mission Control application utilizing his existing web and application development skill-set and those learned during the training program. Aaron is an engineering student at Virginia Tech, is actively involved with the Piedmont Area Soap Box Derby in Virginia and was recently awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award given by the International Soap Box Derby.
Anders Blair - Developer
Anders began as a intern at ETG in the spring of 2016 and by the end of the summer was a full-time employee. As a developer, Anders is responsible for overseeing client vendor integrations like inbound FIX connections and outbound file generation. He also assists in special projects such as writing scripts to automate work procedures and analyzing client data. In his spare time, Anders is an avid runner and enjoys hiking in the mountains. He hopes to one day complete an ultra marathon race.
Jacob Settle - Client Support
Jacob lives in Culpeper, VA. He graduated from Bridgewater College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. He began as an intern at ETG in the spring of 2018 and is now a full time employee as a Jr. support analyst. He is a sports enthusiast and in his spare time he likes to travel and do anything related to the outdoors.
Matt Morgan - Intern
Matt started as an intern in 2019 at ETG with high hopes to bring some needed extra help to the team. He is currently studying Computer Science at UMW with plans to graduate in the Spring of 2021. On his off days, Matt likes to go hiking in the summer, followed by skiing in the winter. He also loves to design and code new projects whenever a new idea comes to him. Matt looks to hopefully progress into the developer world here at ETG.
Daryl Brown - Intern
Daryl joined Elysium in the summer of 2017 as an intern. His responsibilities include writing programs to automate daily processes and helping to assess client health and performance using data visualization tools. Daryl is a biomedical engineering student at UVA, and plays trumpet in the marching band. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, hiking, and running.
